Diagnostic Tests Key to Antibiotic Resistance?

Newsday

Available for over a year

Antibiotic resistance is a global issue. There have been many warnings that over-use of antibiotics around the world could render them less effective - if not completely ineffective - at treating illnesses. Jeremy Farrar is Director of the Wellcome Trust. (Picture: Petri dishes stacked up at a microbiology lab / Credit: AFP)
