Three out of ten energy suppliers defined as best buys by comparison website U-switch do not offer the £140 electricity discount which helps poorer customers pay their winter energy bills. Nearly half, at least 17 - of around 40 suppliers in England, Scotland, and Wales don't offer the Warm Home Discount. It means that when low income customers do switch they might see any savings wiped out by the loss of the £140.
