A Wetherspoons fan has visited 990 branches of the pub chain, over a total of 21 years. Mags Thomson, from Livingston in Scotland, started her quest with late husband Ian in Reading railway station in 1994. She has since visited branches all the way from Wick in Scotland to Penzance in Cornwall. The 66-year-old said: "I don't do it for the recognition, I started it with my husband and it's my challenge to finish it and visit every Wetherspoons pub" She added: “When my husband passed away two years ago I did have a break from it, but then some friends of mine encouraged me to take it up again”.
