Severe steps have to be taken on Russian doping

Sport Today

Available for over a year

Ed Warner, the head of UK Athletics, has called for Russia to be banned from international competition and stripped of hosting next year's World Junior Championships in Kazan following WADAs independent report on doping allegations. The IAAF is meeting later this week to consider suspending Russia from competition. Ed Warner though has told the 麻豆社, he suspects there are probably four, five or six nations that athletics really has a problem with. Olympic race walker Olive Loughnane finished second to a Russian athlete at the 2009 World Championships, she was later upgraded to gold because they were found guilty of doping and says she would support all russian athletes being banned until the issue is sorted: (Picture: Olive Loughnane at 2009 World Championships, credit: Getty Images)
