A martial artist who is about to have his leg amputated is raising money for charity by holding a competition to guess the weight of his severed limb. Pete Rowsell suffers from congenital talipes equinovarus, otherwise known as club foot. He admits that this type of fundraising is "unique". He told Â鶹Éç Radio 5 live: "Yes it's a bit different but I like unique stuff. Everyone does a marathon and a run for charity. I thought, well, it's unusual, I'll see if I can raise some money from it." The fundraiser has currently raised just over £350 and is hoping to get more donations from his JustGiving page.
