Newsday

Available for over a year

The Catholic Martyrs' Shrine at Namugongo is one of the most symbolic religious places in Uganda and will be the focus of Pope Francis' visit to the country. Newsday's Alan Kasujja went there to have a look at preparations and interview the caretaker priest about the preparations. But after passing intense security at the entrance he found himself speaking to some unexpected people, including the Prime Minister. (Photo: The Namugongo shrine in Uganda. Credit: Â鶹Éç)
