Newsday

Available for over a year

In many remote and poor areas of the world, climate change is more than just a talking point. Filipino activist Marinel does intend to share her experience at the UN summit on the future of the planet being held in Paris. She's attending this gathering as a member of a delegation set up by the advocacy group Plan International. She told Newsday how she lost her house and all her belongings when typhoon Haiyan struck two years ago. (Photo Filipino activist Marinel. Credit: Plan International)
