Britain's Davis Cup captain Leon Smith has revealed to 5 live that Andy Murray stayed up to watch Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko. "Andy is a huge boxing fan [...] and as much as I'd have liked him to get an early bed, he stayed up and watched the whole thing", he said. Great Britain have won the Davis Cup for the first time since 1936, and Smith said Murray must have "drawn some inspiration" from the boxing match. Fury's uncle, Peter Fury, was listening and said similarities can be drawn between boxing and tennis. "These are high skilled sports [...] the amount of training, the discipline, everything involved is immense [...] they have to go through a hell of a lot to get the maximum out of the individual".
