Picture Leicester's Wellington Street back in the 1920s to the 1970's...it was a busy street alive with factories making knitwear and clothing which was sent all over the world. And at the heart of it was WN Gutteridge, a buttons and trimmings dyer and merchants. The firm has been there for nearly a hundred years but now its finally finally leaving and moving to new, smaller premises elsewhere. Â鶹Éç Radio leicester's Bridget Blair has been to see the Victorian building, virtually untouched by time, to meet Michael Gutteridge. And, as she's been finding out, its not easy clearing nearly a hundred years of history and thousands of boxes of buttons.
