The American painter, sculptor and printmaker, Ellsworth Kelly, has died aged ninety-two. He developed his distinctive style in post-war Paris, combining solid shapes and brilliant colours with forms drawn from everyday life. He later moved back to his home city of New York, where his work heavily influenced the development of Minimalism, Hard-Edge Painting and Pop Art.
