39-year-old with Alzheimer's: why I cycled 16,000 miles

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

39-year-old Former soldier, Chris Graham, cycled 16,000 miles across North America to raise money for Alzheimer's, after finding out he had the condition. Chris's father died from the condition at 42-years-old, and it also put his brother in a care home at the age of 43. He said "most people are in shock" when he tells them he has Alzheimer's at such a young age, but he "doesn't mind telling people" about the condition as they need to "wake up" to the dangers of it. This clip is originally from 5 live Daily on Monday 28 December 2015.
