In 1979, Iranian students stormed the American embassy in Tehran and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. The crisis and its consequences are still influencing US-Iran relations. Last week, Washington approved a long-awaited compensation deal for the embassy staff - each will receive around $4million. The veteran diplomat, John Limbert, was one of the hostages.
