Space Exploration's Amazing Year

Newsday

Available for over a year

It has been an amazing year for space exploration -- from the highly detailed images of Pluto captured by the New Horizons probe as it flew past the dwarf planet to NASA's announcement that liquid water had been found on Mars. Carolyn Porco is one of the world's leading planetary scientists, she is currently working with NASA on the Cassini voyage to Saturn and its surrounding moons. Newsday's Alan Kasuja asked her what had got her excited this year.
