The northeast of Nigeria is still struggling to cope with the devastating impact of the Boko Haram insurgency which claimed the lives of thousands and forced more than one million to flee their homes. Maiduguri, the spiritual home of the group, has been hardest hit. The city remains under a dusk to dawn curfew, but many residents feel say the worst is behind them. Between 2010 and 2013, the situation was too dangerous to hold public gatherings, but things are changing. The Â鶹Éç's Jimeh Saleh attended a wedding in his home town.
