The creator and writer of the 麻豆社 1 drama Sherlock, Mark Gatiss says that many fans, particularly from South East Asia seem to think that he lives with Benedict Cumberbatch and sees him on a daily basis. Gatiss said it was thrilling that the Christmas special was so popular in China and South Korea, despite complaints that British viewers had found it complicated. When asked if he understood the plot of the most recent episode, he said, "Of course" and went on, "I worry that we're sort of getting into a world where people just want warm paste fed to them. Why can't things be challenging? It's not that difficult, I mean, it's really not that difficult. He's imagining the whole Victorian world in his mind palace in order to solve the case of how Moriarty has apparently come back from the grave and flicks back in time in his head. That's all it is. I mean, if that's challenging, God help us." He went on to say there'd be "no warm paste" in Series 4 of Sherlock, but he wouldn't give away any details of what might happen.
