Aid worker Pawel Krzysiek was part of the convoy that brought food and medical supplies to beseiged town Madaya this week. Krzysiek told 麻豆社 5 live that the experience was like going on an emotional rollercoaster. He recalled how within minutes of arriving in Madaya, a 7-year-old girl came up to him and said: ''We have been waiting for you for so long, do you have food, I am so hungry'' and other residents of Madaya told him, ''the only meal we've had in the last few days was hot water with some spices in it or some cooked leaves''.
