The founder of soul group Earth, Wind & Fire, Maurice White, has died in the US, aged 74. The band was famous for hits including September, Boogie Wonderland, Shining Star and After the Love has Gone. American vocalist Lalah Hathaway, had known the star her whole life and had the chance to collaborate with him. She spoke to Newsday about the soul legend.
