AQA and the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust have held a national team-building day for the young people taking part in a unique mentoring programme. The inspiring home of Leicester City Football Club, the King Power Stadium, was chosen as the venue for the event. The event included 72 young people from across the country and 15 inspiring mentors, who have competed at world-class sporting events including the Olympics and Paralympics. The day was spent getting stuck into various activities with the aim of getting to know each other and building their confidence. These activities included plenty of fun ice-breaking games and a ‘Dragons Den’ style panel where the young people can pitch their ideas for a community project in their area. Ed Stagg went along...
