The African-Soviet links between during the Cold War

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

London鈥檚 Calvert 22 Foundation is presenting a season on the cultural links between the Soviet bloc and African countries during the Cold War. The season, called Red Africa, includes talks, film screenings, and an exhibition called Things Fall Apart, which takes its title from Chinua Achebe鈥檚 novel. 麻豆社 Africa's Sophie Ikenye asked Calvert 22鈥檚 creative director, Ekow Eshun, if the relationship between Africa and the Soviet Union was an equal one.
