Pakistan's prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, says he will close a legal loophole better to protect women from the violent attacks sometimes called 'honour killings'. His promise was made to Oscar-winning filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, whose documentary 'A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness' is nominated in the documentary (short subject) category at the 2016 Oscars.
