Senses - Sight

Jonathan Lampon

Available for over a year

All this week on the programme we're looking at our senses. Taste, touch, smell, sight and sound we rely on them all. As we go through the week we'll be talking abut a different sense every day, but talking about this got us thinking, what senses could you bear to lose, and which one's couldn't you live without. Well we start the week by looking at your sight. Areej, who's 8-years-old, has Hereditary Retinal Dystrophy, with a field visual loss around the sides and bottom of her field of vision. She's learning Braille at school but to really get around she's taking lessons in using a cane to guide herself through the streets of Leicester. Jonathan went to meet her and her teacher from Leicester's sight loss centre, Vista, Ronak Gosai.
