Gambian president, Yahyah Jammeh, is on his way to getting a fifth term in office. At the weekend his party endorsed him as its candidate for the December elections. He is likely to get his wish as the opposition is weak and fractured. He came to power in a coup 21 years ago (in 1994), and human rights groups have accused his regime of disappearances, assassinations, extra-judicial killings and harassment of journalists and activists - claims the government has rejected. Malick Kah, chairman of the Senegambia Human Rights Defence League based here in London gave his reaction to the latest developments. (Photo: President Yahya Jammeh of Gambia. Credit: Getty Images)
