Girls "being married by Skype"

Newsday

Available for over a year

A human rights charity in Britain claims girls are being forced to marry men living abroad via the internet with the promise of a British passport at the end of it. Freedom, which gives support to victims of forced marriage, alleges that a number of Imams are conducting the ceremonies via Skype and say in one case, an 11-year-old girl from London was married to a 25-year-old man in Bangladesh.
