A NASA study has found a drought that affected the Middle East over the past decade was perhaps the worst in the region's history for nearly a millennium. NASA scientists looked at a 14-year-period between 1998 and 2012 in affected countries like Turkey, Syria and Jordan. Kevin Anchukaitis is a Paleoclimatologist and the report's author.
