A new report called 'Childhood Under Siege' by the aid agency 'Save the Children' reveals that barrel bombs, air strikes and shelling are the biggest issues for children living in besieged areas inside Syria. Mariam lived under siege in northern Homs for about a year. She managed to escape but her mother is still stuck there. She is now 14 years old and is having to take care of her siblings.
