A 1998 interview with Robert Redford, one of the most influential figures in 20th Century cinema, who died on 16 September 2025 aged 89. Celebrated for his roles in films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President's Men, and the Sting, he also won an Academy Award for directing the emotional drama Ordinary People. He was also known as a producer, businessman, environmentalist, and philanthropist, as well as helping to found the hugely influential Sundance film festival.
