Sonia Kleiner moved from Germany to Sri Lanka in 1992 to become a doctor, but ended up falling in love with the classical Indian dance, Bharata Natyam. She has now devoted her life to the religious story-telling dance. We visit Sonia in the country’s capital, Colombo, to find out why she gave up everything for Bharata Natyam. Also on the show, Doctor Jo answers listeners’ medical queries; a report on the new education programmes from Feltham Young Offenders Institute in south London, Britain – Europe’s largest prison for young people; and we hear from British Roller-skating Champions, Peter Kay and Fiona McMarn.
