National Forest

Ben Jackson

Available for over a year

This year marks a quarter of a century since the start of the National Forest. It's been a remarkably successful project which at it's most basic has seen millions of trees being planted, but has also seen the countryside over which it's been planted profoundly change. Where once there were earthmovers tearing coal from the ground, now there are sky larks nesting and people picnicking. Over the next few months we'll hear lots about how the forest has grown and what's planned for the next twenty five years. Ben starts off in a cafe.
