Peter Lilley - the Conservative MP and a former Secretary of State for Social Security in the 1990s - has said George Osborne's chances of becoming Prime Minister have been 'damaged but not destroyed' by Iain Duncan Smith's resignation. Mr. Smith, the former Work and Pensions Secretary, quit after the Chancellor announced in his Budget that cuts would be made to disability benefits. Mr Lilley - who is a leading advocate of leaving the European Union - told Mark Mardell what he thought of Mr Duncan Smith's resignation.
