The black musician who befriended the Ku Klux Klan

Weekend

Available for over a year

Daryl Davis is an accomplished black American musician who has played all over the world with some very big names. He also has an unusual hobby. He likes to meet and befriend members of the Ku Klux Klan, many of whom have never before had a proper conversation with anyone who isn't white. A new documentary, Accidental Courtesy, showcases interviews between Daryl and KKK and neo-Nazi leaders, academics, and civil rights activists. Weekend's Paul Henley has been talking to Daryl Davis and he started by describing his first - accidental - meeting with someone from the Ku Klux Klan. (Picture: Daryl Davis with a member of the KKK.
