Malawian President Peter Mutharika has declared a state of national disaster due to food shortages caused by drought, adding that some people would need food aid for all of this year. Mozambique has raised alert levels for southern and central regions as well. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Zambia are also suffering food supply problems and South Africa is just recovering from what it's described as its worst drought in a century. Focus on Africa's Audrey Brown has been hearing more from the World Food Programme's Southern Africa spokesman, David Orr.
