Episode details

Available for over a year
Thousands of cancer patients in Uganda have been left stranded after the country's main radiotherapy machine broke down beyond repair. Around 33,000 new cancer patients need treatment each year but the government says it could take up to a year for the service to be up and running again. In the meantime the only option for those who need radiation is to travel abroad to countries like neighbouring Kenya. But as the Â鶹Éç's Catherine Byaruhanga has been finding out, for many, this isn't realistic.
