Protesters have been gathering in North Carolina in the United States, both to support or oppose a new state law, which imposes restrictions on transgender people. The law demands that people use toilets in public buildings and schools that match the sex on their birth certificate rather than their gender identity. Newsday spoke to Lily Carollo -- a transgender woman living in North Carolina.
