5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Telecommunication company BT has announced a 15% increase in profits. The announcement was made just days after most broadband and landline customers were told to expect their bills could go up by up to 7%. 5 live listener Anne said BT's customer service made her want to "smash somebody in the face with a shovel". She said "In India the call centres are dreadful, they don't care and they lie. They really need to bring them back to the UK." BT said they were 鈥渄etermined鈥 to provide customers with 鈥渉igher standards of service鈥 by bringing contact centre work back to the UK and aiming to halve the number of missed appointments by Openreach. This clip is originally from 5 live breakfast on Thursday 5 May 2016.
