"Her parents had a lack of understanding of what a teenager does on her phone"

Nihal

Available for over a year

Police in London are warning parents to look out for signs of sexual exploitation on social media. Youth workers say Asian teenagers could be at greater risk because they don't open up enough to their parents. But does any child - regardless of their race - talk to their parents about what's going on in their private lives? Are Asian kids having to do more things in secret because their parents are too strict? If so, is that leading to a whole heap or problems? Caller Aftab says his niece ran away from home after her parents found her talking to a boy on her mobile phone.
