The Nigerian government's plan to cut fuel subsidies has prompted an angry reaction from the country's trade union federation which says it will resist the 'criminal' rise in petrol prices. But the Lagos Chamber of Commerce has backed the decision. They say it was inevitable because of the current fragile state of the economy in Nigeria. Faruq Abbas is a lawyer and Social activist in Lagos - the country's economic capital. (Pic: Nigerian drivers collecting fuel; Credit: AFP)
