Mother April Thomas is urging parents to take their children for regular eyes test after her daughter lost an eye to cancer. April said she noticed that her daughter had a squint but "didn't take it too seriously" at first. However, after going to the doctors it was discovered that Eliza had a tumour that was "too big to remove" with laser surgery or chemotherapy. Speaking to 5 live Breakfast's Elly Oldroyd, April urged parents not to ignore squints and should take their children "straight to the doctor or optician" if there are any abnormalities. This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on May 15 2016.
