Former Olympic gymnast Gloria Viseras says she kept the fact she had suffered abuse at the hands of her coach secret for 30 years. Speaking to Eleanor Oldroyd, the Spaniard, who competed at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, described the mental, and later physical abuse: "He started humiliating or insulting us. He called me a whore all the time. He was testing the limits, waiting to see who would tell their parents. Then he started to give us massage in the warm-up room in the basement - that’s how it all started.” The coach in question has denied these claims via his lawyers.
