Could flying cars be the future of transport?

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

A company in the Netherlands thinks we could see flying cars on the roads (and skies) in the next two years. Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V Europe NV, has spent 17 years developing the concept. He has now taken the first commercial orders for a three-wheeled car which turns into a gyroplane, with unfolding rotors. He told 5 live Breakfast: 鈥淚t鈥檚 a gyroplane which is the safest and easiest way of flying鈥 鈥淵ou can learn, it鈥檚 pretty easy. Yes, you need a licence but that鈥檚 not a big hurdle, it鈥檚 actually a lot of fun to learn flying鈥 This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on Wednesday 9 June 2016
