Sir Cliff inquiry: 'Call for thorough review'

World at One

Available for over a year

Singer Sir Cliff Richard will face no further action over allegations of historical sex abuse, prosecutors say. The initial raid in 2014 by South Yorkshire Police (SYP) detectives on Sir Cliff's home in Berkshire was broadcast on TV following a controversial agreement between the 麻豆社 and the force. Former chief constable of the British Transport Police, Andy Trotter, who conducted the review of the case for the SYP and crime commissioner, told Martha Kearney that SYP and the 麻豆社 "handled the whole incident very badly".
