The Mauritanian capital Nouakchott is due to host the next summit of the Arab League. A new airport, dozens of new roads and hotels have been built. But Nouakchott has no drains, and parts of the city are flooded year-round. Some residents worry that the scale of construction could worsen the problem. The Âé¶¹Éç’s Alex Duval Smith reports.
