A spokesperson for travel company ABTA said "holiday programmes in Turkey are continuing as normal." Victoria Bacon's advice for travelling to Turkey comes after more than two hundred people were killed there on Friday night, following a military coup attempt. ABTA estimates there are currently 50,000 British holidaymakers in Turkey. Victoria said "it's important to remain vigilant on holiday - if you're worried about anything keep in contact with your tour reps and look at the advice from the foreign office". The Foreign and Commonwealth office advises people in Ankara and Istanbul should avoid public places and demonstrations, and remain vigilant. They are reporting that coastal resorts don't appear to be significantly affected. This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on Sunday 17 July 2016.
