Cuba's first gay men's choir

Newsday

Available for over a year

The renewal of relations between the United States and Cuba has opened up all sorts of opportunities, not least when it comes to cultural exchanges. A group of men who go under the name of "Mano a Mano", or 'hand in hand', are taking full advantage of this new era. They are Cuba's first gay men's choir and they are currently on tour in the United States. Newsday's Julian Keane spoke to two of the members - the choir's founder, Fermin Rojas, and its Musical Director, Ernesto Lima Parets. (Photo: Mana a Mano Credit: Mano a Mano)
