New Harry Potter book designed for people with dyslexia

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Harry Potter and The Cursed child will be published in a format and type-setting that makes it easier for people with dyslexia and dyspraxia to read. The book, which was released on Monday 1st August 2016, will have different coloured pages and adjusted sentences to assist dyslexic readers. Ellis Moore, an editor with WF Howes, the publishers releasing this book, said the book is "different because of the formatting" and the "paper is a darker shade of yellow with dark blue writing" which allows for "easier definition". She said the publishers decided to do it because they "wanted to test the waters" to see if it was "useful and responsive" for dyslexic readers. This clip is originally from 5 live Daily on Wednesday 3 August 2016.
