Guinea's Ebola orphans

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Ebola may have faded from our headlines but the aftermath of the virus is still being felt across West Africa. It took the lives of more than 11,000 people - most of them in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea - and it left behind nearly 23,000 orphans. The Â鶹Éç's Tamasin Ford reports from Forecariah, the last town in Guinea to suffer from the virus. (Photo: A poster outside an Ebola Treatment Centre in Guinea.
