Available for over a year

The surgeon who treated a five year-old Syrian boy depicted in a viral video says he is OK and has been discharged from hospital. Video and photos of Omran Daqneesh were released by pro-opposition Syrian activists, and show him sitting in an ambulance, dazed and bloodied with visible head wounds following an airstrike in Aleppo. Dr Mohammad said "Omran is OK and last night he was discharged to his home with his relatives". "We didn't see his parents but our friends who visited his parents told us they are all alive," he added. 鈥淗e (Omran) was brought in with eight casualties, five children, two young men and one woman. He was afraid and astonished and he didn鈥檛 cry. We cleaned his face from blood and dust and sutured the wound." This clip is from Drive on Thursday 18 August 2016.
