You may remember last week our political reporter Tim Parker explored the history behind some of Leicester's famous and not so well-known statues. That prompted Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester's Jo Hayward, to try and find out more about some of the sculptures elsewhere in the city and across our two counties. Jo's first port of call was Thurmaston, where the shopping centre is the home of a statue depicting bowling champion Tony Allcock. To find out more about the story behind the statue Jo met up with Hugh Murphy, the chairman of Charles Street Buildings which commissioned the work more than a decade ago.
