African ebony is one of the most valuable woods in the world. It is used to make musical instruments and elegant furniture. Much of it comes from the Congo Basin Rainforest which stretches into Cameroon. This is where the leading American guitar maker, Bob Taylor, has invested in a sustainable ebony forest and a manufacturing plant. He made his first guitar in a college workshop and is now the best selling acoustic guitar maker in the United States. Our reporter, Randy Joe Sa'ah met him during a recent visit to Cameroon.
