It's 25 years since R.E.M.'s Out of Time was released. The band gained worldwide recognition for the album, which has sold 18 million copies worldwide, and won them three Grammys. To celebrate its quarter century, the album is being reissued in a remastered version, along with extra tracks. Composer and conductor Jay Weigel worked on Out of Time's orchestral arrangements. He says the band would begin by singing a melody out loud, and he would then get the orchestra to perform what he thought R.E.M. wanted for the final track. Weigel says the band "really got into it". This clip is originally from 5 Live's Up All Night Programme on Friday 26th August 2016.
