Dismayed by the gender inequality he was witnessing in his community, Ugandan social worker Samuel Woira embarked on a social experiment. For one week, under the guidance of several female 'instructors', he undertook domestic chores, observed the traditional custom of kneeling before elders, and even wore a wig. He speaks to Focus on Africa's Akwasi Sarpong about the experience, and whether he achieved his aim of changing people's attitudes. (Photo: Ugandan social worker Samuel Woira.
